Week Nine: Instant Messaging

I used facebook for instant messaging. I am not all that fond of instant messaging. I prefer contacting people by email, facebook or twitter because I don't have to wait for a reply. I can say what I want and then go on to other things.

Week Seven: Microblogging

Boy, I have really gotten behind. Hopefully I'll get caught up this week.
I have a twitter account set up my screen name is lincolncarlib. I have a few people following me and I am following a few people.
I plan to use this twitter account for the library after 23 things kansas is over.
I have also decided to use this blog as a reader's advisory site after 23 things kansas is over. I changed the name to "Between Books" and started added some information on books my library has.

Week Six: Tagging and Social Bookmarking

I finally got my Delicious account set up last night. I bookmarked a few sites and sent one to rbrown3. At this point I think I am going to like delicious and use it a lot, but I feel real uncomfortable with. I need to spend some time playing with it and getting use to all the features. The fact that I can save sites from any computer is a major draw for me. I can use it at work and at home.

Week Five: RSS and Feed Readers

I set up an account with Google Reader and have subscribed to 3 blogs. I have also added a RSS feed link on my blog.

Week Four: Photo Sharing

I finally figured out how to get my slide show in the order I wanted. I had to go back and edit the post date and put them in order. I am really happy with the results. My slide show is on this blog and on my Libraray's blog.

Week Four: Photo Sharing

I decided that I wanted to do a virtual tour of my Library. We just finished a remodeling/addition project on our building and I thought a virtual tour would be a nice way to show the Library off.
My biggest problem is that my photos are arranged in the wrong order. They are backwards. The photo that I wanted to be first is last and visa verse. I haven't figured out how to solve this problem but will keep working on it.
Other wise I think my virtual tour looks pretty good.
